Hudson's 2 weeks old!

Wow, it is hard to believe he is already 2 weeks old! We had our first appt with the pediatrician - Dr. Waters. It appears his big appetite is paying off as Hudson now weighs 9 lbs, 8 oz and has grown to 21 1/2 inches! Hudson is sleeping better at night now so we are all happier. He sleeps for 3 hours at a time, just waking up to eat. He also is learning how to cry...mostly when he wants to eat which we all know isn't surprising! He is doing well though and becoming more active with his arms and legs. Here are some recent pictures.

Hudson's one week old

It is hard to believe that Hudson is one week old. He is sleeping better, eating like a champ and smiling often. We have learned all of his systems are working well as since he has been eating mom's milk -- he has successfully projectile vomited in his parent's bed, peed on himself and those around him often, and pooped all over his changing table. So, we have stopped tracking his feedings and outputs for the pediatrician!

The Night Owl

For the first few nights, Hudson was a bit confused and very sleepy during the day and the night owl at night. This last picture is what he looks like at 4am!

Hudson's first bath

We decided to brave it and attempt giving this little (or not so little) baby his first bath. Luckily Nana Carol was around to do most of the work while his parents mostly watched and took pictures!

Hudson's arrival home!

We all happily arrived home on Friday afternoon. Hudson seemed sad to leave the hospital, and had his first crying episode as our nurse was going over discharge instructions. Luckily, John turned his carseat into a swing and he calmed down. Upon entering the house, Hudson was happily greeted by our two golden retrievers, Pilgrim and Tanner and got many licks.

Hudson Andrew's arrival

Hudson Andrew finally arrived on March 14th, 2007 at 3:46 pm. He surprised us all weighing in at 8 lbs, 13 oz and measuring at 20 1/2 inches long, but we were all happy that he was healthy. The Martoia clan, was all waiting anxiously to greet him following his birth and he had many visitors at the hospital. Here are some of his first pictures.
