Jack's 9 month photo session
Here are a few of our favorite shots from Jack's 9 month pictures by Kami Brady Photography. She sure captured his personality along with his cuteness!

Beautiful weather!
We have had fantastic weather this past week so we have been outside as much as possible before the winter weather comes. Last weekend, we took the kids (and Sparky) to Strutt with your Mutt, which is a fundraiser for the local humane society. There were SO many dogs (and cats) there even spotted in dog strollers and doggie front packs. Who knew. Hudson had a great time seeing all the dogs. Somehow I didn't get many pictures but here is one!
"Brudders"
These two little guys have been playing so much together and it is so much fun to watch. Most of the time, Hudson loves to teach Jack new things and gets so excited when he learns to do them by himself. Jack loves to watch Hudson and imitate every move. Most of the time this playing goes pretty well, unless Jack quickly destroys Hudson's firestation he has built out of blocks or his train set! When this happens, Hudson yells right in his face which brings Jack to tears quickly. I guess I should be happy he isn't pushing, biting or hitting! .JPG)

Stairs and Swings........
Sorry in advance for the order of these images. They did not upload in the correct order and I can't get them to move.
This is the face I see as Jack climbs the stairs which is his new favorite activity. Yes, that is a mosquito bite on his nose! The poor kid has a bad reaction to bug bites.
Jack's hair has really started to fill in. He doesn't have quite as much as Hudson had, but it is getting there!
Is he trying to tell us he is ready for a pillow???
When Hudson steals the camera
I went to download pictures tonight and found these images. I have no idea who took them:)!!!!

Hudson is loving preschool. We had "Meet the Teacher" night this week and are so happy with his teachers. They are both fantastic. Hudson has been singing the new songs from school and "marching" around the house all week long. These are some pictures that Hudson made at the "art station". His teacher wrote on there what he told her his picture was. Here he is practicing his name with the "H's" and "U's" and gave it to Nana.

Hudson's first day of preschool!
Hudson started three year old preschool this week. It is hard to believe he is an official preschooler now! He has twelve kids in his class and two fantastic teachers. One teacher is the same from Mother's Day Out last year. He is going two mornings a week. Nana picked him up from school the first day and I am pretty sure he will be disappointed next week when he sees me and not her! It will be nice to have some mornings with just Jack. Hudson and Jack were both excited to see each other when he came home though. They sure are buddies.
Labor Day fun in Colorado
We spent an extended Labor Day weekend in Colorado and had a wonderful time. We started out flying to Denver on Thursday night. Both kids did surprisingly well considering we took an evening flight that took us well past bedtime. Hudson thought it was pretty cool to fly like "Buzz Lightyear" and was excited to drink orange juice on the flight not to mention the chocolate chip cookie. During the flight Hudson looked out the window and was excited about the "snow" he saw (clouds). When we landed, he wanted to take the plane straight to Evan and Lyndi's house. That would be a sight! Jack spent the flight trying to climb up and down and all around but did pretty well and was distracted with puffs. Thank goodness for puffs. We spent the night and Evan and Lyndi's in Denver on Thursday night and both kids were asleep in the rental car before we got to the their house. .JPG)
Friday morning we drove up to Ovid to see John's family. Hudson was in hog heaven playing with all the toys, tractors and especially with his cousins. I don't think we even saw him except for meal time as he was so busy having fun with the big kids.
An attempt at a photo with Grandma Della. Jack was not in the mood for a picture!
Saturday we went to the Sedgwick County Harvest Festival. Hudson had a blast at the parade and was so proud of his full gallon sized ziploc of candy! Following the parade, the kids played games, had egg tosses, and potato sack races.

Saturday night we went to the local (only) restaurant in Ovid and Hudson for the first time, fell asleep at the table while eating his grillled cheese. He proceeded to eat while sleeping until we took it from him worried he would choke. Not much stops this kid from eating!
Jack loved being outside and teethed on a corn cob! Or as Hudson calls it, "corn on the nob".

The best family photo we could get!
On Monday, we drove back down to Denver and went to the Taste of Colorado fesitval in Denver.....yum! We had planned on going to the aquarium that afternoon but Hudson fell asleep in Jack's stroller for a few hours after eating so we decided to sit outside on 16th Street and enjoy Happy Hour! The weather was perfect! We had a great time visiting with Evan and Lyndi and Hudson enjoyed playing with their dog Macy!
