The first road trip to St Louis

This past week, we took our first road trip to St Louis for my sister, Samantha's high school graduation. Hard to believe as I attend my 10 year reunion this year, my sister is graduating!!! We had a great week visiting with the family including my aunt Sis and my cousins Allison and Marlena from Florida. Hudson also got to meet my brother, Uncle Evan and his girlfriend Lyndi for the for first time.
While in St Louis, we also got to meet baby Alejandro! He is the son of one of my best friends from high school, Mark, and his wife Yanela. Here they are with hats my mom made for him. Hopefully Alejandro will be a better fan of it this winter.....

The face Hudson makes when mom makes him dress up for the camera.....

Hudson with Grandpa Chuck

Before John got into town, grandpa Chuck had to make sure he wore his Red Sox attire. He is looking forward to the day Hudson is big enough to go to a game at Fenway.

Hudson did GREAT in the car, sleeping most of the way to St Louis and back. Here we are at a stop for him to eat.
Check back for a video of bathtime with Nana, one of Hudson's favorite things to do in St Louis and for some graduation pictures.

Memorial Day weekend with the Walter's

We had some more visitors over Memorial Day to Kansas City. John's brother, Pete, his wife Jane and three children - Trey, Ethan and Whitney came to visit us. We had fun shopping and hanging out with them. Unfortunatly, their car broke down while they were here and they had to get a rental car to get back to Colorado. But the good news is that the car got fixed and we will get it back to them sometime this summer.

Luke and Henry turn ONE!!!!

Hudson has learned this week that he has hands and sometimes gets really lucky to get that thumb in.

Hudson attended his two, first birthday parties - both our friends Henry and Luke turned one year old this week.

Kelli made a beautiful spread for Henry's birthday party. We have already hired her to cater Hudson's next year.

Kelli with Hudson. Hudson stayed awake until the very end.

Henry LOVED his cake!

For Luke's party we went to our first Kansas City T Bones baseball game and sat with the "big boys"... Todd, John, Jeff and Eric.

Austyn and Ali and the sleeping baby.

Luke loved the chocolate cake!
Happy Memorial Day! We are looking forward to our weekend with John's brother Pete and his wife, Jane and the three cousins - Trey, Ethan and Whitney coming to visit this weekend and meet Hudson. Then next week we are off to St Louis for Samantha's high school graduation!

The little charmer....

After a bad Olan Mills experience a few weeks ago with a crazy photographer and too ugly bears, lace and cradles, we decided to get some professional experience pictures done at Lea Murphy photography (www.leamurphy.com). Here is the one she put on her blog. He was in a great mood this morning while we were both getting ready - I got my hair washed, dryed and straightened without too many breaks which was quite a record thanks to his crib mobile. He has started to giggle too which has been really fun. But he was so tired from playing that he feel asleep in the 5 minute car ride. But he did wake up and we got some good shots.

Mother's day weekend!

This was a very eventful week so forgive the many pictures!!! Hudson turned 2 months old this week! He had his shots this past Monday and did really well. We used numbing cream for his legs and I think that helped. He slept most of the day. He weighed in at 13 lbs 6 oz and was 23 3/4 inches long! We were just happy he was on the chart and not "over" the chart. He is in the 90th percentile for weight and 70th for height - hopefully those will balance someday! But he continues to love to eat and gets excited before every meal.

This is Rogan - a 2 year old golden that is going to be the newest addition to the Martoia Family (not Walter family...don't worry) and join Rocky and Jazz. They came to get him last weekend, but unfortunately he is bitten by a snake and had to stay at the animal hospital for a few days. But he is getting better. He is very sweet and very handsome!

Also, we got to meet Brad and Emily's new baby girl. This is Hudson and Ainsley who is one week old today. I can't believe Hudson was that size just 2 months ago. She is beautiful and we look forward to watching her grow.

We also had some fun visitors this weekend. Aunt Dana and her boyfriend John, Aunt Samantha and Nana came up to celebrate mother's day. This is Sam carrying Hudson. The sling is a bit bigger on her than it is on me! We couldn't take her any where without boys (or men) turning their heads to look at her. We only wonder what those Greek men will say when she ventures to Greece after high school graduation!

This is Hudson's new look - the Stare - he loves to stare at his mobiles. He looks like this for a good 10 minutes! This past week he has become much more active - kicking his arms and legs and cooing at everything. It is fun to watch him smile more too.

Nana and Hudson....

8 weeks old!!!!!

Here are some pictures of Hudson this week. He loves his gym! He smiles when we lay him under it....till he realizes he is by himself. But this does by at least 10 minutes usually!!!

He loves bathtime too. He splashes now quite a bit though so we ALL end up really wet!

This is our friend Henry who turns one in a few weeks. His parents were on a cruise last week so we took him with his mother in law to the local Brookside art fair. Hopefully his parents won't mind we fed him artichoke dip with a spoon - he loved it!

7 weeks old...time is flying

Hi everyone! We have had another great week with some really nice weather which has been great. Hudson is continuing to do well. He has been smiling alot - at us and he loves his crib symphony and mobile.
We were very fortunate that we were not at our local Target, where a fatal shooting happened this past Sunday. We were there the day prior.
We are looking forward to Nana and Aunt Samantha's visit in a few weeks over Mother's Day weekend!
We are also looking forward to our friend's Brad and Emily's baby who will be born any day now!
