Memorial Day weekend

We had a great Memorial Day weekend here in KC. We FINALLY had some beautiful weather and spent much of the weekend outside. We started the weekend at Nana's house for dinner and got to visit with Aunt Sissy from Florida. Hudson had a great time spending time last week with her and Nana and already is asking "Where Aunt Sissy are?" Pa came in to visit on Saturday and we went downtown to a new pizza joint then went to Jiggle Jam at Crown Center.
Hudson had a great time bouncing in the many, many bounce houses. We only wish we had half of his energy most days.

Hudson was so proud he made it up the big slide alone. Mom and Dad were pretty happy too as we weren't sure how we were going to get in there to help him with the many, many kiddos in there and the maze that he went through to get to the slide!

A preview of summer

After a long, cold winter and a rainy spring we are loving the heat! Hudson picked out a new Buzz Lightyear rocket ship sprinkler.....shocking we know and is sporting his new Buzz swimming trunks from Aunt Sam. He is really into wearing matching things these days all the way down to his underwear. We are breaking in the new washing machine quickly!

Jack's baptism and Nana's new house!

Pastor Adam baptizing Jack and Jack trying to get in the water to take a bath!
After Jack's baptism we headed to Nana's new house and had a great dinner on her beautiful sunporch!

Hudson and his BFF Aunt Sam.

A family picture with Sam hiding behind Hudson! He refused to let go of her even for a picture!

With Nana

Butter with a little bit of bread.....

He won't eat baby food but he will eat key lime pie??? Maybe that was because I ate a piece of key lime pie every night in Florida last year when I was pregnant.

Nana and Jack

Kelly and Grandma Della came all of the way from Colorado!

Hudson was so excited during the baptism that he was on the big projector!

"Dippy eggs" and bacon brunch with Sam in Nana's new kitchen!

Jack and "Mickey"

Jack and his taggie blanket
Hudson eating his gourmet breakfast. What will he do when Nana moves into her house this week and he has to go back to bagels and cereal?

Sitting up pretty well on his own!

Hudson with his "guys" as he calls him which include Mickey, Pluto, Minnie and Daisy. They are ranked right up there with Buzz and Woody and gang. He loves them so much that he sat in the corner of his room and played with them for house in the middle of the night this week. Apparently he could not sleep that night. Nana was sleeping in his bed since we took over the guest room with the remodeling at our house so she got the "pleasure" of entertaining him at 4:30 in the morning. I bet she was wishing by now she would have rented an apartment instead of staying with us while until her house was ready!

Happy Birthday Mason, Ainsley and Max!

This week we got to celebrate three birthdays from some special little people this week turning one, two and three! Next week we have two more four year old birthdays. This is a fun, busy birthday month.

These parties are a very nice break from the construction zone we have at our house right now. We are remodeling our bathroom and adding some lighting to our kitchen which has created a mess! So now instead of toys, laundry and dishes piled up we now have white covered toys, laundry and dishes! It will be worth it when it is over though.... Our friend Max turned ONE! How cute is he. He always has a grin and dimples which are currently covered up with frosting.
And his Big Sis Ainsley turned THREE! Before she ate her cake, she was very worried cake would get on her cake and asked me for a bib. Seriously, why can't all three year olds be like her?

Hudson bouncing with another little guy and holding a card that plays his new favorite song...."I like to move it, move it" from Madagascar. We get to hear it about 100 times a day, only when the Hot Dog song from Mickey Mouse isn't being sung.

Dear Mason turned TWO and has watched someone grill a time or two because he was quite a pro. We are not surprised as his mom makes meals that with titles that I cannot even pronounce. How she gets this done with boys 16 months apart I do not know.

Hudson found a little girl Sophia and I think had quite a little crush on the older lady. I don't think he flattered her by driving the Jeep into the fence however.

6 month check up....

Jack had his 6 month check up last week. Here are his stats - 21 lbs, 14 oz (90-95th percentile) and he was 27 inches long (75th percentile). His doctor called him square.....we won't tell him that when he is older!

Happy 6 month birthday, Jack!

Jack is 6 months old today! It is so hard to believe his half birthday is here! He is still such a happy, giggly little guy. He is rolling all over the place and still working on moving forward. Unlike his big brother, he wants nothing to do with cereal or baby food yet, but likes to eat anything out of a mesh bag. He is obviously getting enough milk though so we aren't too worried! He adores his big brother who makes him giggle just by looking at him. Stay tuned for his baptism in just a few weeks!
