A Beautiful Weekend

We were spoiled by another beautiful weekend outside and are enjoying every bit before the weather changes! We went to Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead once again and on Sunday had a great dinner at Nana's house.

All aboard!

On Friday, one of our friend's organized a private train ride for the kids and we had a great time! It was a beautiful day and the train traveled through beautiful farm land and even over a bridge. The kids had a blast!

A weekend with "Pa" and "Dana"

This past weekend, we made a trip to St Louis to visit Pa's new house and Dana's new apartment. We had a great time and Hudson loved staying in his own room just for him. We stumbled upon a book festival in Clayton while visiting Dana and we got to meet many familiar characters like Cat in the Hat, Corduroy, and Clifford.

Hudson had a blast playing baseball with Dad and Pa. He would get so excited when he hit the ball! He improved greatly over the weekend and would concentrate so hard to get his feet and his bat in the right position.
Jack's latest face as he sucks in a bunch of air!

We grilled some awesome pizzas. Hudson's came with extra flour.
Pa lives in an awesome old house built in 1860 and we love the porch swing on the back!

Hudson also got to experience his first go kart ride and as you can see, was a big fan! We had a great time and can't wait to see Pa again!

A visit to the Pumpkin Patch!

We visited two local pumpkin patches last week. On Sunday, John and I took the kids and when I got there I pulled out my camera and realized it was dead. So, no pictures from that one but Hudson had a great time picking his own pumpkin including one for nearly everyone he knew, and Jack had a great time being carried around in a backpack! Then last Wednesday, Nana and I took the boys to another great pumpkin patch. We have had some beautiful weather and the boys played and played. I think Hudson would have stayed all day if we let him. We all had a great time.
We fed some goats and Nana said she wanted to take one home. I don't think she was kidding either.....
Barrel rides and yes, he picked the "pink" one. John is so proud of the additional color he has added to his "favorites".

Hudson loved playing in these trucks and tractors and Nana said she would build him one. I don't think she was kidding about that one either!

They love Nana. But really, who doesn't? We all love her. In the last week, she watched the kids while I was sick, cleaned my house, went grocery shopping, helped me with Jack's upcoming birthday party, made a dish for me to take to a potluck, and that is just a partial list. We are so spoiled by her.

Jack is 11 months old!

It is hard to believe this little guy will be ONE soon! He is changing so much and as much as we miss the little baby stage, it is so fun to see his little personality coming through. He is doing great and getting more and more mobile. He is starting to stand on his own and transfering from the couch to the ottoman. I don't think we have too much longer till he is walking. Jack is eating great and loving new table foods. Pasta and pizza are two favorites. He also learned to clap this past week and is so excited to show everyone his new skill.
He loves this little baby doll and hugs it as soon as he finds it. Jack loves to snuggle with a hug and a kiss....so sweet.
 His other favorite task.....
 He loves books!
Sometimes we see this face. It sometimes involves his big brother.....
But he loves his big brother dearly and watches him very closely at all times.
