Jack's Mickey party

Here are some pics from Jack's 2nd birthday party a few weeks ago. We are a bit behind between our computer crashing, a trip to NY and then Thanksgiving but catching up!
Jack ate three sandwiches before the party even started

Nana was a HUGE help with this party between house decorations, making Mickey ears and decorating the cake and cupcakes. We are so thankful for her help!

Trick or Treat!

Finn McMissile and Mickey Mouse

The finished pumpkin

I think he thought he would get more candy if he carried two pails

After a few houses, Jack had it figured out. They were so cute together as Hudson waited for him at each house. Jack would scream out "candy" or "sucker" each time he got a piece and on his way out would yell, "tank you" and "fun" because everyone told him to "have fun". They had a blast together.

Nana took the boys out for a bit then came back to help hand out candy while John and I took them around .

Hugs for Tanner. This boy loves to love on dogs.

Ha! Typical...leave me alone.

PreK Halloween party

Here are some pictures from Hudson's Halloween party at school this week. We put together some fun treats for the kiddos (on the left) and a "witch's broom" bag with candy corn almond bark on the right. Thank you pinterest.com for the ideas:).

This is Hudson's pal, Stephanie, dressed as Mickey. Those two were side by side whenever they could be!

They paraded around the entire school for the big kids to see the costumes, then came back for snack and a game of candy corn bingo. After the game, Hudson at the all 12 candy corns in one bite. It was impressive and just the beginning of the insane amount of sugar he consumed that day!

Pa visits KC!

We were so excited Pa made it over for a weekend visit. We all had a great time with him.

After the Cards big win this past week, we had to play some baseball! We have been so fortunate to have such great weather this month.

Pa taught Jack to pound his fist and say "yeah, baby" so he does it repeatedly and cracks himself up.

A Friday at home

We had a pajama morning Friday and it was so nice to be a little lazy. We are usually rushing out the door to school or somewhere else in the morning so the boys were excited to be home and play with toys in the morning. Hudson still loves his cars and plays with them all day long.

Hudson had a really great parent teacher conference this past week. He has one of the most fantastic teachers I have ever met. According to Miss Amy Sue, Hudson is excelling in academics, but more importantly she stressed the compassion and kindness he gives to the other kids in his class, many of which have special needs (Hudson is a peer model). She said he gets just as excited as they get when they achieve something new and is the first to help them if someone needs something. He is still developing some social skills but she gave us ways to encourage his growth and he has already shown big strides over the past 2 months.

This past week, the mother of another classmate stopped me to tell me how excited her little girl gets when she asks if she is ready to go to school to play with Hudson. When I was telling him this story, he replies, I wish "Stephanie" said that! She is clearly his BFF right now and we might even go to say "first crush".

Hudson also asked us how to spell "DVD" this week. When he started to sound it out, he realized quickly how to spell it and got so excited he had figured it out. Ha. I guess that is a good first step to spelling!

Hudson's first field trip

Hudson had his first field trip this week with school. His preschool went to the pumpkin patch which made for Hudson's third visit to a patch this month. Needless to say, we have a few extra pumpkins to spare if you need one. Hudson was so excited to go but got pretty shy around his school friends and stayed with me the whole time.

Sam is in town from CA so she and Nana came along.

Jack's favorite place to ride

Of course, Jack was so excited to see all of the animals.
