Neighborhood pool party

We had our neighborhood pool party this weekend and had a great time hanging out with our neighbors and meeting the many new families that have moved in recently.

Even the dad's got to participate in some relays at the pool!

The popsicle man made an appearance and the boys were very happy!

The St Louis Zoo

Despite the crazy hot temps, we had to make a trip to the St Louis Zoo while we were in town. They a had just opened a new sea lion arena and sting ray cove so we headed there early in the morning and stayed until it was unbearable.

All Jack wanted from the zoo was a lion shirt and he talked about it all day. Luckily we found one just before we left and then he wore it for at least 48 hours straight.

Hudson petted the snake. Jack did not and instead yelled "NO" and ran away not so politely.

Petting the sting rays. Jack was convinced each time they flapped out of the water they were saying "hi" to him.

In the underwater sea lion tunnel.

Outside the penguin house.

Magic House

We spent the first day of our St Louis trip at the Magic House. We had a great time!

Playing with the magnetic balls

Hudson loved the science rooms

The famous ball!

Working hard on a magnetic sculpture

Hudson was making a sculpture of his "hair" from the ball.

Being vets

Diagnosing his sick dog

Putting socks on the baby

Not multitasking very well:)

A quick visit to St Louis

John had to go to New York for a few days this week for work, so Nana and I took the boys to St Louis for a few days to visit Pa and Aunt Dana. Despite the 100+ degree temps we had a great time!

Park Place festival

Last week we attended a local street party and the boys had a blast eating pizza and cupcakes and dancing in the street. We went into the cupcake store to pick out treats and each time the door would open and Jack would hear the band he would immediately start dancing and had the whole store cracking up. He sure loves putting on a show!

Jack found an "Alex" and "Marty"(from Madagascar) in the toy store and was not going to leave without them.

Hudson and Jack worked really hard on the crown crafts.

Jack insisted on taking his 1/4 of a cupcake home for later.
