Royals game

We got some last minute tickets to a Royals game and decided to take the boys, even though it was a night game. We spent lots of time before the game in the kids play zone. It was a fun game!

Flag Football

Hudson started his first flag football season this month. With two practices each week and 1-2 games we sure have been watching lots of football! The team has improved greatly in a month. Some days Hudson likes it more than others but overall enjoys it and has made some new friends.

Dana, Pa and Sam come to visit

Earlier this month we got some fun visitors!

Sam came for nearly a week! We had lunch at Spin one day.

Then Pa and Dana came over from St Louis. The boys were obsessed with his car and even had a few rides in the neighborhood in it.

Jack got to spend a morning with Pa while us girls went to the gym and Hudson went to school. They were pretty excited to run into a firetruck at the grocery store.

The park on a beautiful afternoon.

We also made a trip to get some cider and apple donuts...yum.

And we celebrated Dana's 27th birthday! Hudson picked out the "princess" birthday cake for her as he knew she would just love it. Ha.

Jack's first day of MDO

Jack started his first day of MDO this week. He was so excited to go to "preschool" and would correct anyone that said "school" and woke up saying "Woohoo, I am going to Hudson's old school today!" He has the same teacher Hudson had and I can't even believe he is now going to the same place I used to take him as a newborn to pick up Hudson. He did great till we got there then got a little nervous and was asking for me to stay with him. He cried a bit but the teacher's said he did fine. When I picked him up he gave me lots of hugs and told me all about the "park" they played at, the cheese its and raisins they had for snack, and the new dinosaur song they learned.

Labor Day weekend in Colorado

We hit the road last weekend for Colorado and had a great time visiting John's family.

While in the carpool line to pick up Hudson, Jack "flying" Buzz Lightyear out the window.

Jack found a helmet at Uncle Pete's house and became obsessed with it and wore it about three days straight. The lucky guy even talked them into keeping it and he is a happy guy!

We stopped at a hotel the first night and Jack insisted that Daddy and Hudson would sleep in the other bed and he would sleep alone in his bed! He kept telling me to sleep on the floor! Of course, this lasted about 5 minutes before he was asking for mommy to sleep in his bed.

It didn't take long for Jack to warm up to Uncle Pete.

Waiting for the parade at the Sedgwick Harvest Festival.

Look, candy!

The boys loved picking up candy. Hudson would only pick up the things he liked but Jack took it all. Sweet cousin Ethan helped them the whole time.

The penny toss was a huge hit
