We had a great Thanksgiving in Ovid, Colorado. Hudson did great on the long road trip and took longer naps there than he does at home (probably because his cousins kept him so busy playing)! The kids were all helpful in feeding Hudson and helping with his baths. Hudson slept through dinner but woke up in time for pumpkin pie! Hudson practiced his new favorite thing, kissing with his cousin Annika. They sure are cute but very slobbery! We even got to see Uncle Evan and Lyndi who drove up from Denver to spend the weekend with us. The only downfall was catching the flu. I had it over the weekend, then Hudson got it, but luckily he didn't have it very long. Here are some pictures from the weekend, and also of the new puppy Abby that the cousins got.
This weekend Nana, Dana and John C came up to visit. Nana and John helped us with leaves and we are so thankful to see the grass again! Well at least until it gets covered again! We had a great time with them and look forward to seeing them again soon.
Hudson is now 8 months old! We can't believe it! He is still doing great and learning new things each day. He is getting really good at climbing up and is now walking around his crib by holding on to the railing. He has four teeth now and is enjoying using those on some new foods. He still loves bath time and trying to grab the faucet water and of course, pull up on the bathtub! He is still army crawling but it is getting him every where he wants to go. He still claps and this weekend, his Nana taught him to wave!
We have been playing around with our newer camera and got some of these black of white pictures of Hudson in his pajamas.
His new trick of the week is to peek around the corner when someone leaves the room. He literally loses his balance sometimes trying to lean over and follow them. It is pretty funny! He continues to improve pulling up and loves every minute of it!
Hudson and I got to play with Ainsley yesterday while her mom went to the dentist! At first, they had a good stare off but it didn't take long for them to get really comfortable with each other trying to eat each other's clothes and grab each other's toys! They had a great time and both were so tired from playing, they fell asleep at the same time!
We didn't think it would be fair to only show Hudson MU's homecoming, so we took him to KU this past weekend for their homecoming. Hudson was a trooper and happy most of the day as long as mom or dad were in sight, and we enjoyed the beautiful weather outside. Afterwards we took him to one of our favorite mexican restaurants in Lawrence where he ate his first round of refried beans. I will spare the details of his diapers today though :)
Hudson has upgraded to the full size tub this week. Although, we have to wear ponchos if we don't want to get soaked because his favorite thing to do is get on his belly and kick and splash. He has a great time.
