someone got a new bike!

Hudson is the very proud owner of a new bike and is all smiles. We got him a new bike called a balance bike and doesn't have pedals. He is starting to get it figured out and I am pretty sure will have it mastered before too long!

playing together!

Hudson has been waiting a long while for a play buddy and Jack is starting to get old enough to play with him. Hudson had so much fun hanging every toy of Jack's he could find from his play gym. Jack just loves watching his big brother. It won't be much longer till he is learning his moves.....

Aunt Dana comes to visit!

We had a great visit with Aunt Dana this weekend! Hudson ate up her attention and even got Dana to slip and slide with him. We sure are happy to report no one got injured:).

Nana treated us to cupcakes after some shopping...yum

Saturday afternoon, Hudson was finally convinced to give up his pacifiers. We are so proud of him. He has asked for it a few times since but has been doing just fine without them. I never thought I would have a three year old that needed a pacifier at night still but that is probably just on the long list of the "I never" statements I made before I was a mom! He has LOVED his pacifiers and needed about three to sleep with since he was a little baby so he could suck on one and have back ups ready in his hand. Hudson chose a trip to the Disney Store in exchange for the pacifiers and picked out a Goofy and Mickey small toy as well as the new Toy Story 3 figures. He already is learning the new character's names in preparation for the big release this weekend. Hopefully this showing will go a little better than Shrek and we will not have a 45 minute tantrum at the end when he wants an immediate second showing. He sure loves movies just ike his daddy.

Dana and the boys before Hudson tried to escape the picture. They sure love their aunties who both spoil them rotten. This week we are very excited to see Uncle Evan and Aunt Lyndi when they come to town!

Summertime in KC

This past week we had our first Fire Station Tour! It was at the fire station right around the corner and we hope to not see them this close up and personal again:). It was very interesting to get a tour of the fire house and see the trucks. Hudson thought it was pretty cool too and now each time we pass the fire station now he asks me to stop the car.

His friend Benjamin came in costume with his fireman hat and boots.

We also went to an outdoor children's concert at Park Place which is a nearby restaurant/shopping district. This is little Ryan playing with baby Jack. He was so sweet to him and even tried to climb up in his stroller! We had fun running into many familiar faces there. Hudson spent much of the concert waiting in line for a "Fozzie" the bear balloon. The balloon artist seemed a little unsure of his request but when I assured him a gold Elmo would be fine, he seemed very relieved. Oh the requests of three year olds....

7 months old!!!!

This little guy...or not so little.....is turning 7 months old already! He gets cuter each and every day and is beginning to show quite a bit of personality. He grins and giggle and grins and giggles. He is babbling quite a bit more and even saying a little "dada" and "mama". He is sitting up really well and trying to hard to crawl. He just got his bottom two teeth and the top ones look like they will be in very soon. He still wants nothing to do with eating food off a spoon but loves to suck on the little mesh bags. He obviously is getting enough of my milk in though so we aren' too worried! He is wearing a size 4 diaper (yes, the same size Hudson wore a few months ago before he potty trained!) and mainly 12 month clothes although the 18 month sizes are just around the corner! Here are some photos of baby Jack.

Playdate at the park

It was a beautiful and sunny morning for the park. We met up with Grey, Clayton and baby Sam to play. Clayton and Hudson met when they were about the same ages of Sam and Jack.

The babies swinging
and the big boys running! They had a great time chasing each other and both were pretty sweaty by the end! They played great together and the only battle they had was over which mom was going to get the dandelions they found in the grass! I guess we should be flattered:).
