One year!
You have changed so much this past month. You wave (backwards), point to everything, try to bark like a dog, open your mouth really big to try and say "up", and you say "ah" after a drink. You love to read books and you get "Goodnight Moon" off the shelf if we start to read the first line of the book out loud. You love to give big hugs, especially to your brother. You dance whenever you hear a tune. You have started to shake your head "no" especially at meal time and you also put your hand to your ear every time you hear a phone ring! You are still crawling and you love to climb. You are a great eater and eat mostly what we do. You love eggs, meat and veggies. Happy Birthday sweet baby boy!

Approaching life with a toddler again....

Jack is reminding us he is almost "one" this week....

Yes, the food does go in the mouth next.....

Hudson, just before he choked on a chip at a Mexican restaurant and threw up on his Yankees jersey. Poor kid.

He is doing great though. He loves school and had his first successful progress report and parent teacher conference this past week. She reported he is doing well with colors/shapes and loves to learn. She said the only thing they are working on is transitioning faster to the next activity which was of no surprise. He is certainly on his own clock most of the time and he will sit and do a puzzle till it is done and I swear will spend an hour eating a meal! He is writing his name now and recognizes all letters which he has been working this past month. When we read an ABC book, he likes to say what each letter stands for. Tonight, A was for "Abby and Ava" (school classmates), B was for "Banana" and C was for "Costco". Ha!

Happy Halloween!

Hudson has been planning our costumes for months now and insisted that everyone wear costumes. Thanks to Nana, Hudson's plan was executed and we all dressed up! It was all worth it to see Hudson so excited.
We trick or treated with our friends Gage, Mason and Ryan and the boys had so much fun together. Jack was less than thrilled I put him down on the cold sidewalk but was fine once he strolled in the wagon!

We also trick-or-treated at the Brookside shops. Sparky was "Slinky" until some kid stepped on the back part of the costume and pulled it off. He was a pretty good trooper though and I am pretty sure more people stopped to see the dog than the kids!
Hudson was so excited to carve pumpkins. Actually he was so excited I let him use my "sharpie" pens that are normally off limits. He wasn't sure about the "ooey-goo" stuff inside but got used to it quickly.

A Beautiful Weekend

We were spoiled by another beautiful weekend outside and are enjoying every bit before the weather changes! We went to Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead once again and on Sunday had a great dinner at Nana's house.

Jack enjoying his first goldfish cracker.

Hudson attempting to download apps on Nana's I-touch.

All aboard!

On Friday, one of our friend's organized a private train ride for the kids and we had a great time! It was a beautiful day and the train traveled through beautiful farm land and even over a bridge. The kids had a blast!

Hudson and his buddy Clayton shooting each other with Buzz's lazer I believe.

A weekend with "Pa" and "Dana"

This past weekend, we made a trip to St Louis to visit Pa's new house and Dana's new apartment. We had a great time and Hudson loved staying in his own room just for him. We stumbled upon a book festival in Clayton while visiting Dana and we got to meet many familiar characters like Cat in the Hat, Corduroy, and Clifford.

Hudson had a blast playing baseball with Dad and Pa. He would get so excited when he hit the ball! He improved greatly over the weekend and would concentrate so hard to get his feet and his bat in the right position.
Jack's latest face as he sucks in a bunch of air!

We grilled some awesome pizzas. Hudson's came with extra flour.
Pa lives in an awesome old house built in 1860 and we love the porch swing on the back!

Hudson also got to experience his first go kart ride and as you can see, was a big fan! We had a great time and can't wait to see Pa again!
