Where did May go?

I can't believe May is nearly over! We are in full swing of summer here and getting ready for our vacation to CA this weekend. We've been watching our paper chain in the kitchen go from over 30 days to 2 and the boys have been wearing their book bags for the airplane for days now. Here is what we were up to in May.

Showing off a masterpiece at playgroup

The boys love shopping at Dick's

Hudson has been trying to convince us we need another dog. He actually wants a dalmation so he added this on my list one day. I think he meant to say "Go get dog."

Thankfully we get to babysit Nana's puppy Scout. The boys love her to pieces and even give her blankets and put lullabies on for her to sleep.

Lunch at Fritz's

Jack's highlight of the day is playing in Daddy's car when he gets home from work.

Chasing the neighbor's cat. Jack tells us this is his "favorite" cat.

We also got a quick visit from the cousins, Brandon and Annika, as they drove through from Denver to North Carolina.

Last week of PreK!

We ended PreK and gymnastics this week!
Getting his tumbling award!

The PreK class started the last week with a water play day and got to wash a police car! They were pretty excited about it!

On the last day of school we had a park play day with the whole class.  Hudson was so excited to play at the park with his friends and Jack loved that he got to play with Ms. Amy Sue!

Picking Blueberries

We spent the first day of summer picking blueberries at the Berry Patch. The boys had a great time and worked hard to fill up the buckets. Hudson did a good job picking ripe ones but Jack was more interested in filling his bucket with green berries (his favorite color).

Jack consumed many while picking which was surprising since he usually will pick a veggie over fruit.

Afterwards we had some very yummy blueberry muffins and blueberry lemonade. It was a fun morning!

Hudson's first t ball game

Hudson had his first t ball game this weekend and they did great!

Clearly it was an exciting game:)

That night after dinner, Nana surprised the boys by meeting for ice cream with her "gang" and they were so excited!

Hudson's Pre-K graduation

It is so hard to believe in just a few short days this school year is over! Last Thursday, Hudson's class had an end of the year celebration and sang some songs for the families. Hudson wasn't so excited about singing the songs for the audience. Miss Amy Sue then handed out "diplomas" to each child and said a few words about each one. She cried talking about each child and had much of the room crying too. We sure wish we could take her with us to Kindergarten!
