Hudson's first day or PreK!

Hudson put his backpack on then Jack decided he needed his too.

On the way to school Hudson asked me what we were going to do while he was at school. I told him we were going to go to the gym and he told me we couldn't go there because Jack would cry if he wasn't there with him! Such a good big brother....

We are taking advantage of the days we can walk to school while the weather is nice!

Trying to "reach" the letters. It will be fun to watch  him grow taller year to year by this sign!

Hudson had a great first day! He got a little bit upset when he saw me and his teacher had him wait to go to the car once she called his name, but calmed down and told me all about his day.

last trip to Deanna Rose before school starts!

Jack is 21 months

Little Jack is 21 months already! I can't believe he will be 2 in such a short time. He has changed so much in these past few months and is turning into such a little boy. The big news is that he has finally started sleeping through the night at the young age of 20 months:). We had a boot camp for a few days around here where he slept with Daddy and after crying for "mommy" for just a few minutes for a few nights, Daddy got him back to sleep and he finally weaned. He has been sleeping so much better at night and taking 3 hour naps now too which great for everybody. He sleeps with about 10 stuffed animals and blankets that he calls his "guys" which include Mickey Mouses that he calls "Moush", Goofy, Tigger and his elephant that he tucks in just right before bed.

Jack is still a great eater preferring adult food to typical kid food. He loves salads that he calls "lettuce" and recently took a fork to goat cheese and ate half of a tube. He also asks for "tea" at his meals which usually means he sips mine but I might need to make him some decaf!

Another favorite thing though is his big brother. He follows Hudson all day long and wants to do everything he is doing. If he can't find him, he starts calling for him. Luckily big brother loves playing with him too. It is really sweet to watch their bond grow each day. Jack is going to have a big adjustment this week when Hudson starts school!

He is still a cuddly little guy and loves to be rocked and held. He gives huge hugs and holds on tight when he wakes up and when he gets hurt.

He is talking more and more and cracks us up often. He will often ask for Nana, then make a sad face and say "Nana", then will say "work". If you aren't in his sight, then you are at work! If I ask him if he wants to go to the gym, he will do his fake cry as he knows he is going to cry when I drop him off.

He wants to do everything himself and says "I do" until you let him. He is showing an interest of sitting on the potty and does so often but isn't going on there yet, although he can go into my closet after his bath and potty on the carpet pretty well:).

He is such a sweet, funny little guy and we sure are enjoying this age with him!

Mommy turns 32!!!

The day got off to a great start when a fruit basket arrived from Pa.

Of course the first flowers picked were the chocolate covered apples!

This face pretty much described how Jack felt about this combo.

That night we met Daddy after work and Nana at Rudy's for some good Mexican then came back to Nana's house for a yummy ice cream cake. The boys picked out some fun animal charms for my bracelet and Nana bought me a Ninja blender/food processor which we are really excited to use! She also stocked up our house with some fun Trader Joe's products too!

A day at the Zoo

A little McDonald's breakfast before hitting the zoo

Both boys loved the sea lion show and Jack freaked out every time one  would  go underwater or take a break in performing.

Dana met us over her lunch break

Hudson loved navigating the map

And Jack tried to climb in every exhibit

Tired boys on the train
